Heading into game week, the players and coaches for HARC knew they had work to do.  The Women were hosting the rival Austin Valkyries, who were looking to avenge an earlier loss to the SHARCs.  The Men were preparing to get on the winning side of a scoreline in Division 2 for the first time this season and in D4 to keep in the division.  With the San Antonio RFC Men coming into town, neither of these outcomes were guaranteed.  A last second field change didn't make lives easier for anybody either.

In the first match of the day, the SHARCs were hungry to keep the Valks in check. Star of the first game against Austin, Bonnie Richardson, drew first and second blood by scoring 2 tries in the first twenty minutes of the match. Fullback Delia Nava converted both, putting the SHARCs up 14-0. Winger Nadira Smith added a try in the 30th minute, which Nava converted, followed shortly after by a try from #8 Leslie Schroeder.  The Valks answered at the end of the first half with a converted try of their own, but at the half time whistle the SHARCs were in the drivers seat up 26-7.

The Valks kept their momentum going in the first 20 minutes of the second half by scoring 2 tries, with one converted, closing the scoreline to 26-19 in the 58th minute.  But the SHARCs were not to be defeated as by Schroeder (67 min) and  Fly Half KC Curl (77 min) would put the match out of reach for the Valks.  In the final minute of the match, Schroeder would find the try zone one last time, giving her the hat trick.  At the final whistle, the SHARCs were on top 41-19.  The win fortifies the SHARCs place on top of the Red River Rugby Conference Women's Division 1 table.

The Men's D2 side took the pitch next and continued the winning ways set by the Women.  The two stars of the game made their presence known quickly, with team captain, #8 Tom Sargeant scoring the first of his four tries, five minutes in, followed by the Man of the Match, and Australia Day celebrant, Mitchell Pedler scoring eight minutes in. HARC did not let up and after 4 tries by Sargeant, 3 by Pedler, and additional tries by Stefan Marr, Chris Brown, Rory Glesson, two by Dee Paul, and two by Ernesto Turc, the Men's D2 side won 86-0.

After quick break for the light manned San Antonio and a roster shuffle of epic proportions, the HARC Men's D4 side took the field and quickly continued the solid play. Robert Rutherford scored the first of his two tries 3 minutes into the game. Solid kicking by Glen Fontenot on the conversions made it a quick 14-0 after the first of Alex Reeves three tries. Reeves, playing for HARC in his first match since 2017 scored 3 tries at outside center and won Man of the Match, with additional tries scored by Cris Mathew, Dee Paul, and Frank Buchanan to complete a 49-17 D4 victory.
