HARC DOMINATES IN FIRST GAME OF THE SEASONOn Saturday, October 21 HARC’s men started the season off with a thrilling 89-17 victory over the Houston Arrows. With a mix of old players and new HARC dominated play from the beginning of the game. In his pre-game speech to the team, club president Dave Yeoman called for the group to “…focus on fundamentals and have fun.”
At wing, Ernesto Turc scored in minute six of the four-quarter friendly; fourteen more tries were to come, made by both forwards and backs. Turc went on to earn a hat trick; other notable plays included a diving try by Jesse Dominguez, with an assist by Abe Blanco, and a try by none other than Justin Amato (believe it, @Rob Rutherford). The Arrows were held to three tries and were clearly overwhelmed by the dynamism and aggression shown by HARC on the pitch. The win served to highlight the strengths of the team and the incredible effort put forth by each and every player on the field and is hopefully an indicator of the season to come. Tag(s): The Club
